History
The Dark Hedges are an avenue of beech trees planted by the Stuart family in the 18th century along the road to their Georgian house, Gracehill. Over time the branches grew together into a natural tunnel.
The avenue became world-famous as the Kingsroad in Game of Thrones. The road is now closed to cars to protect the ageing trees.
