A quick, easy backlink to your website from £1
Claim a spot on Sim Britain and you get a permanent, crawlable link to your website, your logo on a living map of the UK and Ireland, and pages that search engines and AI assistants can discover. It takes about two minutes and starts at £1.
What you get
- A link from a page about your brand - every spot has its own indexable page with your name, logo, description and link.
- Extra mentions - your supporter page and the relevant city or attraction page list you too.
- Real visitors - people exploring the map click through to see who owns the tallest buildings. Links carry UTM tags so you can see the traffic in your analytics.
- Social proof - share your building on X, LinkedIn, Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram with one tap.
- Discoverability - our sitemap, structured data and llms.txt help search engines and AI tools find and cite listings.
How to add your backlink
- Open the map and tap any building, landmark, tree or car.
- Enter your company name, website and email, and add your logo.
- Pay by card through Stripe. Your link is live the moment payment completes.
The honest bit
Sim Britain links are paid placements, so they are marked rel="sponsored" as Google's guidelines require. That keeps your site safe, but it means you should think of this as brand visibility, referral traffic and a fun story to share rather than a way to manipulate search rankings. If someone sells you "dofollow" paid links, they are risking a Google penalty for your site.
Questions
How quickly does my link go live?
Immediately. As soon as Stripe confirms payment your logo appears on the map and your link appears on your spot page, your supporter page and your city or attraction page.
How many links do I get?
Each spot gives you a link from its own page, plus a mention on your supporter page and the city or attractions page it belongs to. Spot pages are listed in our sitemap so search engines and AI tools can find them.
Are the links dofollow?
No. Because listings are paid, Google requires paid links to be marked rel="sponsored", and we follow that rule to keep your site and ours safe. Sponsored links can still be crawled and discovered and send real visitors, but they are not designed to pass ranking signals. Anyone promising paid dofollow links is putting your site at risk.
How long does the link last?
Until someone outbids you, or you remove it. Even after you are outbid, your brand name stays in the spot's list of previous tenants and on your supporter page.
What do I need?
Your company name, website and email. A square logo, short description and social handles are optional but make your listing stand out.
