History
The Spinnaker Tower opened in 2005 as the centrepiece of the regeneration of Portsmouth Harbour. Its shape is inspired by a billowing sail, celebrating the city's maritime history.
It stands 170 metres tall, and its viewing decks look out over the harbour, the Solent and the Isle of Wight. The middle deck has one of the largest glass floors in Europe.
